- i think ACE already takes up a good size footprint in memory to handle a
- lot of the stuff that it does (i don't have ACE yet, i need to slap a
- modem into my commie soon), and a graphical shell would shrink the needed
- program space and slow things down. as an extension like XWindows that
- could handle normal ACE programs in a window that don't need a GUI, i'd
- be interested in seeing that, but i think it would require too much to
- make it worthwile.

- if you saw my post earlier about CX2, you probably caught that i was
- interested in an object-oriented OS. I've been thinking lately and am
- considering making XI/O (the object technology) extendable to other OS's
- besides CX2, like ACE or CGOE, or whatever. I'm still toying with this
- notion, but if i can get XI/O small and strong enough to port around and
- set up a good API for it, i'd like to try doing that.
